Review: 'Morena, Paolo'
'All the Wires Lead to Flesh'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '21st October 2016'

Our Rating:
In the 90s, fronting The Morenas, Paolo played radio sessions for Janice Long and Lauren Laverne, toured with INME and appeared on C4. But ditching the band and reinventing himself as a solo artist proved the most liberating of moves, and he’s since been a ‘featured new artist’ by Café Nero and found a big fan in Huey Morgan. Despite its tackling the political turbulence of our times, ‘All the Wires Lead to Flesh’ is an uplifting tune, propelled by a thumping beat. Soaring strings dominate a busy arrangement which swells to a surging climax. It’s got anthem written all over it.
