Review: 'HOWARD, ROBIN'
'EP'

-  Label: 'Dreamscape Media Group'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '13th January 2017'

Our Rating:
Robin Howard is a hunky young singer songwriter from Oslo, Norway who professes to wear his heart on his sleeve.

"I would never write a song that isn't from a painful place", he says, adding "I was taught that art has to hurt".

As a result, the 'emote' dial is placed on a high setting in these four songs. Howard shows off his Jeff Buckley-esque vocal range to indicate the strength of his feelings while a squawking electric guitar is cranked up to connect with his rock sensibilities. "I would like to take your hand to the promised land" he reveals in Revolution

The trouble is that none of the actual content sounds very personal and he admits that he sings about stuff he hasn't actually experienced. In consequence, his words are more like second hand emotions related by someone imagining what it must be like to be a soul in torment.
