I am struggling to say much incisive about this gentleman's first solo EP outside of his own Stockholm.
The Bonzo Dog Band defined Jazz as 'delicious hot - disgusting cold' and perhaps the same could be said of Techno.
When its good, its on fire but otherwise, as with this release, the temperature is at best lukewarm.
In fairness to Mr Grindvik, this EP is undoubtedly best heard in a cool club at high volume on a kick-ass sound system.
When heard in the comfort of my home, my two word responses to the four tracks (after the 30 second lead in of Breath) is as follows: Detached unwavering beat; Hail Fellow Well Met ambient smudge ; Sever chugging funk; Left Alone Hypnotic synth.
And that's my best shot.
