Review: 'ST. WERNER, JAN'
'Spectric Acid (Flepblatter Catalogue #5)'

-  Label: 'Thrill Jockey'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '25th August 2017'

Our Rating:
The latest solo offering by one half of German electronica duo Mouse On Mars serves up a cocktail of digital flux and fragmentation with some manic voodoo drumming.

If you're still standing after the machine gun death rattle of Acideous Welsh , the 11 minute opening track, there are six more sonic challenges to your listening delectation.

The remaining tracks are less abrasive yet still splutter and stutter like malfunctioning machinery and it all culminates with laser canon blasts of Bata Punch Bird.

Spectric Acid is a corrosive mass of industrial noise without any obvious concessions to conventional structure or rhythm.

The antithesis of chill.
