Review: 'Friendship'
'Ain't No Shame'

-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '25th May 2018'

Our Rating:
Norwegian rock act Friendship describe themselves as ‘a groovy power trio’ who take influence from ‘the psychedelic vibe of the late 60’s and the heart and soul of the early 70s, Friendship bring something reinvigorating and fresh to the table of retro-rock bands’.

Listening to ‘Ain’t No Shame’, this much is all extremely apparent. But is it a good thing? Is it necessary? There’s a lot of swagger, a lot of cornball lyrically, and it’s cliché overload in every respect. Too many ‘babes’, too much funk groove. Too much wah-wah, too much straining soul.

Ain’t no shame? Maybe there should be, and lots of it.
