Review: 'MISSION JUPITER'
'Architecture'

-  Label: 'Self Released'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '4th May 2018'

Our Rating:
The debut album from a band from Belarus (Minsk) aims to promote musical liberalism via what is somewhat vaguely labelled as "Alternative-Dream Rock".

Their pomp rock sound is accompanied by soaring female vocals, sung in English. Yet although the band aspire to a grandiose scale, the lyrics fail to match this epic sweep. The Sea Of Hopes for example features lame lines about walking on water for love while rhyming 'ocean' with 'devotion'.

The incongruous addition of saxophone on some tracks, including he first single, Will You Be Loved, further diminishes the impact.

The musicians are apparently huge fans of science fiction and space, but their commercial songs about love on planet earth have no obvious extraterrestrial content and limited imaginative scope.
