Review: 'OUZO BAZOOKA'
'Transporter'

-  Label: 'Stolen Body Records'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '12th January 2019'

Our Rating:
Ouzo Bazooka have quite quickly established themselves as ambassadors of middle eastern psych rock throughout Europe with the help of Stolen Body Records.

Having made the end of year psych list in Record Collector with previous album "1001 Nights" and two years of touring solidly they now have this new album out which will no doubt further enhance their reputation. The fact that this is more cohesive, has more refined songwriting on show and is therefore more accessible, will certainly aid the process.

Both "Space Camel" and "It's A Sin" personify this enhanced 'sound' and the album is filled with hidden jewels and potential anthems. There are a number of influences at play in their work but this time round they seem perfectly distilled, honed and crafted. "Trip Train" and "Killing Me" show off the garage and sixties pop whilst "Relax" and "Revolution Eyes" show off the groove and fuzz. "Falling" concludes the album with eight and a half minutes of, well, everything. It should hopefully be an explosive year for Ouzo Bazooka.
