Our Rating:
Alternative-Americana with a European twist is this Italian born singer songwriter's calling card. Now firmly based in Austin, Texas, this is her 7th album and features musicians from the local music scene.

Millanta says her songs are "about re-evaluating life, about endings and beginnings, failures and opportunities, about changing direction, trusting that the wind will support your wings and get you where you need to go."

The album is co-produced by Millanta and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Rhodes with arrangements that are twang friendly with occasional orchestration.

This a warm, melodic set of ten affirmative yet largely forgettable songs with an insular focus.

Dream landscapes predominate and the practice of "hiding from this crazy world", as expressed in Breathe, seems to be her primary focus. I can't say I blame her.
