Our Rating:
Kibitzer is the fourth album by young Aussie Punks Vintage Crop who recorded the album in an Apple Orchard near Geelong it was mixed and mastered by Mikey Young.

This album whacks into gear with Casting Calls that revolves around the bassline and the tale of what may or may not happen at those Casting Calls as they try to remember their lines.

The Duke was the second single on the album and has a few good swipes at the old establishment deference given to figure like The Duke, this is fast furious and full of splenetic energy and some great organ stabs.

Double Slants flies by like your going downhill on a giant slalom run, but your out of control hoping to win by a hair, the urgency that the guitars are played at without any moment of this song being wasted and coming in at 3 minutes and one second is not quite record time.

Hold The Line won't be the Hold music your stuck listening too anytime soon, as it’s far too entertaining to be used like that, as well as being about cold callers and the lines from various adverts and callers fly by while you wait for that person to finally pick up and put you out of your misery once more. In the days before these Aussies were even thought about this would be perfect to be played on Dial A Disc.

Impact The Wisdom has all the pain and agony of having your Impacted wisdom teeth pulled out without an anesthetic, as he explains the pain of the procedure, as this slowly rolls across your speakers as you howl in pain and frustration that you said no to the Anesthesia.

Drafted is a super speedy look at what happens when you win the lottery and get Drafted and realize the prize you've won isn't a prize at all and as The Clash put it "It's up to you not to hear the call," so avoid the draft if you can.

The Bloody War is a battle between neighbors getting out of control, as the memory of why you're fighting this bloody war in the first place has been lost and you're just left trying to figure out if all the pain and violence was really worthwhile.

2K Hip Pocket as the angularity and urgency of early Wire as well as the brevity as the wry lyrics about being out of key and a man of the people unfolds and they try to look out for those sweat shop workers.

Under Offer flies by at a hell of a pace as they see if they can find anyone to offer them more than a subsistence wage, as they also try to flog you a new flat or house like they want to be estate agents rather than punks. If only estate agents could play bass and guitar like this, dealing with them would be easier.

The album closes with Switched Off a slightly slower tune as he tries to figure out just what her problems are, it could be that she's an automatic lover and her batteries have run out, or he just doesn't have enough electricity to spark any interest in her.
