Cha Cha Cha 2000 is the new song from the album ‘I Wonder When They’re Going to Destroy Your Face?’ To be released in August - the bands first album for 26 years. It was written in Leicester and recorded in Wales.
The new single sees Prolapse depart from the motorik beat. The song is a demented cha cha cha that might be danced in a dilapidated ballroom. Singers Mick and Linda weave their words and melodies in and out: a tortuous tale of 60s folk singers, tiny hearts and celebrity. Meanwhile the drums swing and pummel and guitars jar and stab. The same over and over again but changing just a bit all the time.
