Review: 'Theatre Royal'
'Here it Comes'

-  Genre: 'Indie'

Our Rating:
They just don’t make summer singles like they used to, do they? I remember, back in the 90s, tracks like Pulp’s ‘Common People’ and Dodgy’s ‘Staying Out for the Summer’ becoming not just huge hits, but soundtracks in their own rights. ‘Here it Comes’ harks back to that kind of vintage, and boasts a jaunty, jangly guitar line worthy of Johnny Marr, and despite verses about drunken fights, bursts into a bright and breezy chorus that’s more infectious than Ebola, but thankfully a whole lot more pleasant. It’s not only summery, but spectacularly uplifting.
