Gio is an innovative young artist that shows he is more than just a rapper with new single ‘Dear Bup’. He uses eclectic sounding instruments and smooth soft vocals alongside rhythmic rapping to create a well rounded and well thought out track. The lyrical content was extremely poetic and truly took the listener on this journey with Gio. Whilst the track is a great introduction to Gio, I would like to hear him refine these ideas to create his own unique style that can easily be identified. This is a great effort on Gio’s part and I think we can expect some great music from this young rapper in the future.
