The new EP by London based group ShoDem is a fresh urban cocktail, fifty six minutes long and saturated in passion. Containing enough punch to sedate a young buck, the ether in this production is spread equally. All three artists demonstrate charisma and excellent microphone gymnastics through their distinctly different voices, flow and figurative language.
Honey opens the EP shining bright throughout with her truthful wordplay, a subject Beluga Ice solidifies into a realm that is present, hot to touch and motivating. Lastly Steffy Dizzle is the man that seasons these ideas with his flavour. Dizzle's skippy rhythm and smooth manor reminds me of artists in the 'So Solid Crew', a comparison expected no doubt.

The EP as a production is an accurate representation of the urban paradigm and the various dimensions defining the word 'Urban'. Dimensions such as struggle, perseverance and honesty are told with rhetorical clarity. However we must not forget Sose, the main man behind the project. It is through his label these artists have had the opportunity to present us with this new material. Look out for these individuals in the future.
