Review: 'Celer'
'Sky Limits'

-  Album: 'Sky Limits'
-  Genre: 'Ambient' -  Release Date: 'Baskaru'

Our Rating:
‘Sky Limits’ is appropriately named, not because it soars, but because it sounds as though it’s been formed from cloud. Long, soft drones hang vaporously across the 11 loosely-structured pieces that drift into one another. The quirky or otherwise descriptive titles (‘Making tea over a rocket launch broadcast’, ‘On the Shinkansen leaving Kyoto’, ‘Attempts to make time pas differently’, for example) bear not audible relation to the sounds they refer to.

Many of the pieces are very short and very quiet, although the album is signposted by three longer pieces, stretching out to ten minutes and whispily hovering in the air.

Subtle, mellow, nice.
