Review: 'Beautality'
'Einfallen: A Tale Ov Torment & Triumph'

-  Album: 'Einfallen: A Tale Ov Torment & Triumph' -  Label: 'Nordavind Records'
-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '16th March 2015'

Our Rating:
Talk about a slow build. ‘A Tale Ov Torment & Triumph’ contains six tracks, but each is practically an album in its own right, with opener ‘Einfallen’ having a running time of almost 13 minutes. It begins quietly, serenely, slow and gentle, and it’s a good while before it begins to gain momentum. Its deliberate pacing is all a part of the design in which a rich atmosphere evolves. The guttural vocals cling to the underside of soaring guitars.

Dark rumblings echo around in magnificent cathedrals of sound. Serene millponds erupt into raging tempests. The colossal duration of ‘Doppelganger’ is matched by its intense ferocity, broken by moments of sweeping grandeur. Everything about ‘Torment & Triumph’ is huge, by which I mean Biblical, in scale, including the vast sound. Beyond epic.
