With some jaunty indie pop tunes providing the backing to observational lyrics about the ageing process and suburban life, the chances are they’ll be slated as Liverpool’s answer to the Arctic Monkeys. But with some low-budget keyboards and a nifty knack for rendering scenes you can readily visualise, they’ve definitely got something different to offer. ‘The Avenue’ has enough passion to keep it from being a standard nostalgia trip, and ‘We Are One’ has energy and a terrace chanting refrain.
