Review: 'VALLEY'
'Sunburst EP'

-  Label: 'Version Studio Records'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '9th September 2015'

Our Rating:
Swedish instrumental rock from Stockholm sounds a lot like instrumental rock from any other country. No harm in that you might say, but there is a need with this kind of music to find something to make it stand out from the competition.

This five-piece band's 4-track, 30 minute debut EP has no rough edges and drifts more towards proggy jazz than hard rock.

It remains locked within a sleepy, introspective groove so you wait in vain for it to burst into life.

The most interesting piece is the ten minute closing track (Picture Puzzle Pattern Door) which has more of a Psychedelic quality. It features the sampled voice of an American woman saying something about "internal vibrations and connectedness" and experiencing a reverberating energy.

Unfortunately, I don't think she is describing this record.
