Review: 'Lola Dutronic'
'My Name Is Lola'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Dance' -  Release Date: '7.11.17.'

Our Rating:
Yes still working my way through the 2017 review pile to start 2018 with the latest single from Lola Dutronic the German Canadian ironic dance pop band. This is the bands love letter to Berlin and it's clubbing scene.

Both versions deliver the same sugar coated smooth happy house ironic dance pop feel perfect to hear in hipster bars in Charlottenburg as Stephanie B repeats over and over Ich Bin Lola my name is Lola in between shouts out to all the venues you should be hanging out in if you weren't hanging out in the bar playing the song. Yes they even list one bars drinks deals to help whet the appetite.

But really it's the sort of song you expect to hear walking round Bershka or Stradivarius as the slightly syrupy seamless dance pop makes you want to buy another outfit to go to one of the Berlin Clubs they are singing about. Oh and the song is addictive enough that I have probably played it about a dozen times since being sent it!! Yes perfect dance pop with good insidious hooks.

Available from https://loladutronic.bandcamp.com/ complete with lyric sheet on the link that are worth a quick read!!
