Review: 'LIGHTS & MOTION'
'Bloom'

-  Label: 'Deep Elm Records'
-  Genre: 'Post-Rock' -  Release Date: '2nd February 2018'

Our Rating:
Prolific composer Christoffer Franzen from Gothenberg, Sweden unveils the latest collection of "mind-expanding cinematic post-rock".

This one is a modest set of just five tracks lasting just a little over a quarter of an hour.

It begins with a quiet piano driven Overtune followed by the more expansive Vanilla Sky.

"I wanted to create a song that sounded like a flower in bloom" Franzen says of the title track and the delicate textures of this tune carry through to the remaining pieces - Glaciers and Lion.

I'm not sure that this is all so mind-expanding but the quiet drama of this short album is designed to leave listeners with a warm glow.
