Good vibes aplenty from Michigan under the heading of 'Midwest urban folk' established in 1994. This denotes a hybrid sound drawing heavily upon bluegrass, swing and classic country with just a slight hint of rock.
Banjos, mandolins and fiddles are prominent as the husband and wife duo run through an upbeat selection of feel good tunes backed by a lively band of friends and guests.
Annie Capp is the sole vocalist and wrote all the words and music. This is the Capps' eighth full-length album.
The tunes are described a little cheesily as "“songs about broken things and poignant little ponderings" which sounds about right.
"Everything will be all right" Annie sings brightly in Patience and this is the central message throughout.
The mean old world we all know and loathe doesn't get much of a look in.
