Review: 'Mint'
'Turbulence'

-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '17th of April 2020'

Our Rating:
The title fits the bill for this explosive ball-busting gunge effort which piledrives in all grunge-rock attack and in-your-face. ‘Turbulence’ brings all the noise, all the disturbance, all the chunky riffery. You want a contemporary grunge classic? Look no further. This delivers, and with panache.

Who knew that Grimbsy, of all places, could throw up a band of such quality? The press release promises ‘a barnburner of a video/track to blow your brains off. Their last video saw them touch the subject of how we humans destroy the planet and the new one here is a raunchy video on mental health’.

There are some points to be subtracted for the video: it seems less of a statement on contemporary life than an excuse for some light exploitation, and if it does question the crossing of boundaries – a relevant question – it seems to do so in in a way that could perhaps have been better. Still, style and execution: no beef.
