Review: 'Beauty In Chaos'
'The Storm Before The Calm'

-  Label: '33.3 Music Collective/bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '6.3.20.'

Our Rating:
This Ep is out ahead of the band's new album A Kind Cruelty that is out at the end of May. Beauty In Chaos is a goth dark wave band come collective or super group that revolves around Michal Ciravolo from Human Drama and the Michael Aston version of Gene Loves Jezebel among many other credits. This Ep follow on from the bands previous albums Finding Beauty In Chaos and the re-mix version Beauty Re-Envisioned.

This ep opens with Almost Pure Ft Steven Seibold that is a windswept goth epic of fragile beauty and feels almost like an orchestral The Cure but with strings that seem to be Indebted to The Yellow Magic Orchestra's soundtrack work.

The Delicate Balance of All Things ft Wayne Hussey is a far more doomy downbeat song for a doomed love. Perfect for some red wine in a room full of candles.

There are then two versions of A Kind Cruelty ft Curse Mackey that sort of updates the Bauhaus style floor filler for a slightly more modern dark wave take on it and sounds like it would have been perfect for any number of late 90's goth clubs. The second version reminds me a good bit of The Eden House another goth collective that works with several of the same artists as Beauty in Chaos and with Curse Mackey's vocals sounding a lot like Richard Butler at his most goth.
