This is the lead single off of I Am A Rocketship's new album Ghost Stories that doesn't sound much like anything off of my favourite album of that name by The Dream Syndicate. Instead it is this Atlanta based duo's latest offering that was inspired by the bands guitarist Eric Weissinger being given a 1949 Gibson to play with and he felt inspired by the ghost of that guitars previous players, even if this single sounds nothing like you might imagine from that scenario.
My Nature marries a catchy chorus to a cool revolving riff that sounds a lot like Pulnoc circa City of Hysteria era clashing with all sorts of cool shoegaze bands everything from Curve to The Luxembourg Signal, L E Kippner's vocals are nice and dark and are very cool and the tune will be stuck in your head afterwards for a good while.
