Review: 'Killer Workouts'
'Four: Three'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '26.6.20.'

Our Rating:
Killer Workouts are from Seattle and are named after a creepy 80's slasher film about murder in the Aerobics studio. In case you didn't figure it our straight away the ep's title Four: Three is the aspect ratio most VHS videos were shot in, that will give you an idea of what inspired them, even if the music then jumps off in several direction at once.

Too Late feels rather chirpy for a song about it being Too Late to say you're sorry or goodbye, it's poppy and upbeat and the piano break just before the guitar solo sounds like someone thinks this could have potential for a piano house remix rather than the Indie pop that it is.

Figure it Out starts out like something off of Simple Minds Sparkle In The Rain but without the terrible 80's drumming as they claim to be a lot like you, well as long as you love Simple Minds in the mid 80's that is. Having heard this a few times it does stick in the head pretty well.

Loser sounds more like The Hives but with mad synth sounds added to the garage rock sound and with vocals going all male Lene Lovich on the chorus this is bonkers good fun song about being proud to be a loser that also has one of those football (Soccer) chant moments from the drummer that should be perfect to get a crowd clapping along with them live all of which means this songs actually pretty much a winner.
