Review: 'Milk White Throat'
'Hierarchy EP'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '18.9.20.'

Our Rating:
Milk White Throat's Hierarchy EP has been delayed due to Coronavirus but has finally made it out as this Brighton based epic metal band are ready to get back touring as soon as they are allowed too.

The Ep opens with Closed Eyes a rather epic and slightly overblown epic metal song that has echoes of Muse and a real wide screen feel to it musically as there is all sorts going on in the instrumental passages as this is very much not a riff based song.

Sleepless is a song guaranteed to keep you awake with a hard riffing intro before it goes off on several directions at once with some powerful Drumming set against the riffing and the angry as can be screamed parts of the vocals split against some quite softly sung vocals on a song that's about proving that your worthy or fit to be a parent. This reminds me of the less widdly bits of Dream Theatre and again Muse as it has that epic feel to it.

The Ep closes with the title track Hierarchy that opens really quietly tempting you to turn it up before the band comes in to blow your ears apart. This at times sounds like two or three songs slammed together and played at once but underneath all the manic music is a song about trying to figure out where you sit in the Hierarchy of life.

If you like overblown epic metal then Milk White Throat and this Ep are for you find out more at https://www.facebook.com/milkwhitethroat/ https://www.milkwhitethroat.com https://milkwhitethroat.bandcamp.com/
