Review: 'Silverbeets, The'
'Girlfriend'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '16.10.20.'

Our Rating:
Girlfriend is the second single from Hobart Tasmania's The Silverbeets from the band's third album Halcyon Days that's out in mid-November.

This latest song called Girlfriend opens like Robbie Robertson's Somewhere Down The Crazy River before going off into rather different territory of indie jazz pop as they ask questions about what can and does go right and wrong with the Girlfriend in question, Or any other girl or boy friend, as what sounds like a Fender Rhodes accentuates the tale as he tells up his girlfriends name was get lost and no way, this single is intoxicating and has enough elements happening at once to also make it pretty original and vastly different to We Mattered (Once Upon A Time) the first single from the forthcoming album Halcyon Days.
