Review: 'Black Needle Noise Ft Tom Berger & John Fryer'
'What A Wonderful World'

-  Label: 'Cleopatra Records'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '9.10.20.'

Our Rating:
This is the latest instalment in Black Needle Noises These Mortal Covers series wherein John Fryer Producer and one half of This Mortal Coil take on the Louis Armstrong classic and take it to places you probably never dreamed it would go to.

This will be on the album when it eventually comes out.
This version of What A Wonderful World starts off slow dark and foreboding as Tom Berger slowly sings the lyrics, with barely a hint of the normal melody, as this becomes a dark ode to the hellscape around us that can be equally dark and awful as well as wonderful and uplifting. This is a goth maelstrom of dank dark places emerging from the fragility of what could go wrong to just be a place to celebrate. Obviously, some Louis Armstrong fans will be horrified hearing this version, but it really shows the possibilities of what you can do to re-make a classic song as your own and they do.

This is a worthy follow up to Talk To Angels and Seed Of Evil that came out earlier in the year. Find out more at https://www.blackneedlenoise.com/ https://blackneedlenoise.bandcamp.com/ https://www.facebook.com/BlackNeedleNoise
