For this release, English singer songwriter, Ian M. Bailey teams up with Glaswegian Daniel Wylie of Cosmic Rough Riders for a full length follow-up to his EP ‘Shots of Sun’.
On the back sleeve, Bailey is pictured seated next to a retro record player looking like Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues and with albums by Buddy Holly, Don McClean and Bread on prominent display. This gives the listener fair warning that the album is not intended as a radical kick-ass contemporary statement.
Instead, it contains tunes warmed more by an imaginary Californian sun than being blighted by the grey skies of Britain. Recorded in Bailey’s home studio (‘Small Space Studios’), the focus is squarely on hopeful harmonies and uplifting melodies.

The eleven track album opens with the jingle-jangle of This Is Not A Feeling where we are reassured that “Love can never die.”. A glowing mood of gentle psychedelia and affirmative pop sweeps over the songs that follow.
One song is titled Everything Will Be Alright and the optimism is so contagious that one is tempted to suspend disbelief and endorse the magical thinking behind this sentiment.
