Australian band Slow Cinema’s second single release is one of those songs that’s both vintage and contemporary, in combining jangly indie with a psychedelic twist and a raucous, rip-roaring chorus that’s more overtly rock ‘n’ roll.
It’s one of those songs that reminds you of so many various other songs and other bands, none of which you can quite put your finger on. The vocal shifts from laid-back, easy, to gritty, gutsy, ragged, raw. The contrast and dynamics are magnificently executed, and it’s one of those songs that just grips you.
