Review: 'Ember Glows, The'
'Silent Love'

-  Label: 'Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Rock' -  Release Date: '29.6.22.'

Our Rating:
The Ember Glows are a new band from Montreal Canada with a sound rooted in huge widescreen rock of the 1980's think U2 at Red Rocks, Simple Minds Alive and Kicking et al but without the terrible 80's production. The Ember Glows are Martin Saint, Richard Bunze, Kevin Hills and Dan Stefik who have all been around the Montreal Music scene for a while.

Silent Love opens like it wants to be a widescreen flag waving 80's monumental over the top song, in the lineage of U2 and Simple Minds at there most bombastic and over the top, then it just goes huge in trying to emulate that kind of vast sound, it has the odd echo of Psychedelic Furs on this far from Silent Love song for the woman he dreams of at night and for the loss of a dearly loved one. This needs a video shot at Red Rocks or someplace similar.
