Review: 'Vlimmer'
'Fatalideal/Race for the Prize'

-  Label: 'Black Jack Illuminist Records/Bandcamp'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '9.5.23.'

Our Rating:
Fatalideal is the second single this year from Vlimmer this time it's a far poppier approach than usual, as one of Germany's most prolific current musician's, Alexander Leonard Donat's Vlimmer build on the reputation they made with there original run of 18 ep’s that was followed by the bands debut album Nebenkorper and last year they put out Menschenleere.

Fatalideal has a dark synth pop sheen covering the deep thoughts at the heart of the Fatalideal with just how tragic the consequences could be. The beat drives this along at the yelps accentuate all the things you should worry about.

Race For the Prize is a cover of The Flaming Lips classic slowed down to a tortoise pace and sung in German, as the icy synths ever so slowly start revolving, as if mirroring an old Leslie, with added distended noises, with snails paced percussion precisely keeping the time for this race, as it ever so slowly builds to towards that prize.
