Review: 'David Bierman Overdrive'
'She Don't Love You/Nope'

-  Label: 'I-94 Recordings'
-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '24.10.22.'-  Catalogue No: 'I-94-017'

Our Rating:
This was the sixth single in I-94 Recordings Detroit covers series, as with all the other ones I was sent it has great artwork and comes in multiple different colored 7" singles. David was an original member of Detroit rockers The Junk Monkeys and was also in Swig before putting together David Bierman Overdrive with local legends Stephen Palmer, Jim Faulkner, Dave Feeny and Kevin Perri.

She Don't Love You shouldn't be confused with The Quireboys I Don't Love You Anymore or any similarly titled country songs, although this is country tinged heartbreak for someone who hasn't quite got the message that it's over, as the indie guitars come in to clash with the countrified twanging, giving it a bit of a schizo edge to it, as they realize that maybe moving on and finding another lover would be best.

Nope was originally by Outrageous Cherry, this cover feels deeply connected to its roots with shimmering guitars set against the steady rhythm section making clear you never had a chance.
