-  Genre: 'Indie' -  Release Date: '24.11.23.'

Our Rating:
This is The Kundalini Genie's sixth album and follows on from 2021's Half in, Half Out that has grown on me, since reviewing it rather favorably at the time. Since then Robbie Wilson along with Samuel Floyd, Liam Cole, Julia McTiernan and Issac Barnes have signed to Last Night From Glasgow Records. The albums artwork is by Sophie Barrott.

The album opens slowly with Anything, Anymore that tells us they don't feel Anything, Anymore and not like they have taken so much Heroin they have no pain, this is laid back, gently evoking the feeling that everyone is numb from the last few years.

Rising Down, Falling Upwards has a Lush meets the Luxembourg Signal feel to it, this is spaced out shoegaze for the mixed-up shook-up world of the 2020's.

The Choice Not To Decide is a very 2020's sentiment, they wrap it up in gauzy vocals drowning in reverb, as the guitars gently freak out over some good echo laden drums.

False Highs might get you chasing one, puffing on some high-grade oregano, as you fall apart at the seams having fallen for one more dreadful lie. You are nearly as spaced out as the tune, that's drowning in reverb and gloriously messy guitars flaying your synapses.

From Now Until Then they will be spaced out of there gourds, drifting, floating on a psychedelic cloud, feeling all fluffy and warm, working on a heavenly high but ending up with another false one.

All The Clouds And Silver Linings are wrapped up in glorious vocal harmonies washed in reverb, laid before you in gentle euphoric feelings, the love, the joy you bring each other, that may dissolve as easily as a cloud can, would you recognize how special what you have is before it evaporates, or the notes of the Glockenspiel fade away.

Divinity's Playing Card Game is a soaring epic psychedelic journey into the spectral questions as to if the divine can be actualized or realized within the space of one psych freak out or not, listen while divining your own pleasure.

The album closes with a song For A Spiritual Master In A Hurry as they distil his advice, like a laser guided meditation, opening portals in your mind as the gauzy harmonies twist new dawns exploding kaleidoscopically across your brain.
