Move On Groove On is the first new single from New York Garage rock legends The Shirts in over 10 years, with the bands original line up of Arthur Lamonica, Annie Golden, Robert Raccioppo and John Piccolo they are back once more.
The A-side Move On Groove On is played at an age appropriate pace for these garage rock legends, this modern tale of seeing gurus on Youtube grooves on your speakers, with Annie Goldens sweetly evocative vocals drawing you in, to listen to what she's advising you, whatever you do don't try to fake it, this languidly insistent song worms its way deep into your brain, very easy to listen too on repeat waiting for the percussion breakdown before it builds to an inevitable groovy conclusion it's time to move on.
The B-side Deux Royale is very much sans cheese, Annies vocals become rather more seductive set against the strings and castanets of the lush chamber pop you'll be happy to hear.
