Review: 'Mission Jupiter'
'Human Nature'

-  Genre: 'Heavy Metal' -  Release Date: '24th January 2025'

Our Rating:
 New single no 1
I’m always curious when a band labels itself as ‘alternative’, especially when it’s a metal band. It suggest there’s a form of metal which is mainstream. So precisely what are they offering an alternative to?

The band, from Minsk, Belarus, have two albums under their belts already, and this is the second single to preface album number three, ‘Aftermath’, pitched as ‘a set of dramatic, epic songs with thoroughly modern production values that should see them soar.’

‘Human Nature’ is one of those mid-tempo songs that tends to sit nicely in the middle of a set, with clean guitars chiming minor chord moods. Around a minute in, the guitars go BIG and it hits that sweet spot that justifiably qualifies as ‘anthemic’.

With clear vocals, and a clean, crisp production, ‘Human Nature’ certainly sits at the more melodic, accessible end of the metal spectrum. But it’s a strong song, and most definitely an alternative to the endless stream of manufactured, AI-tweaked dross out there.
