Our Rating:
Hit After Hit After Hit is the debut single by The Knockout Artist the latest band to be named after Harry Crews or his novels, they are based in Chapel Hill North Carolina and the fighters are Phil Venable, Sim Berkley, Rock Forbes, Danny Hooley, Matt Neal they recorded at Hondo Creek Studios with Mick Nicholson engineering.

I love Harry Crews and as such this review is made up mainly of quotes, either from the novel The Knockout Artist, or from the press release and liner notes to the band Harry Crews album Naked In Garden Hills that were written by Byron Coley and Charlie Inskip and re-mixed by me. They don't sound too far from the sound of Cathal Coughlan's classic single The Knockout Artist from 2021.

What's That Worth In the wrong place at the wrong time, it was early afternoon, the macadam lot adjacent to the gym, a flow as rich as the waters of the Mississippi, a tight wound assemblage of sweat and sinew.

Rant And Rave there were peanut poppings and candy pullings a big fire outdoors, a country boy whose lost his way, a boxer who knocks himself out for a living, behind the incessant gurgling huzz of bugs in flight, try to leave your job at home tomorrow.

The Day You Disappeared as the sun sinks lower, the song gets louder with the evangelistic ferver, deliriously familiar hyper throbbing levi's and a t-shirt, my ass. Tater was already through the ropes taking his mouthpiece out, you damn near broke my fucking ribs, slashing apart the stultifying boredom and lack of communication, you don't take for a ride that they're the source of the music.
