Winnipeg based Canadian pop singer Linda Sais new EP is Glitter Cowgirl, I have three singles from the 6 track ep to review. She recorded the ep with producer Tyler John.
Glitter Cowgirl is a slice of modern synth pop, with a glossy sheen, with Linda's slightly breathy vocals claiming she's the queen of drama, you know she'll throw a fit if she catches you saying or doing the wrong thing to her, while the bass heavy beat will get you gently moving on the dancefloor.
2 Hot Weeks Of You is a summer holiday banger, for the fling you'll have with someone you meet on holiday, loads of fun together and then at the end of the holiday its splitsville, but damn you'll have some lovely memories of each other, a perfect song for teen and early twenties fun and games.
Golden Hour has a sultry soul feel to this song of love and a bit of empowerment, own your own life, the trumpets that poke through the production lift this song, that for someone like me who rarely listens to this sort of pop sounds a bit like Mary J Blige.
