Long Rehearsal is the new single from Bay Area four-piece Whitney's Playland who have expanded since the bands debut album Sea Breeze came out in 2023. The band are now George Tarlson, Inna Showalter, Paul DeMartini, Evan Showalter. The EP was mastered by Mikey Young and Mixed by Robby Joseph.
The Ep opens with Long Rehearsal or the best one minute 44 seconds of that 10-hour session, a sparkling jangle pop song of longing, memories of when you said goodbye, a Heavenly reminiscence.
Only Daughter has glorious harmonies and lush reverb laden guitars, a summery feeling, asking if it's a drag being the Only Daughter or not.
Talk is sometimes not what you want, it can be better to keep it to yourself, buzzing Lush guitars, Marine Girls thoughts that you may need to divulge, hazily stoned dreamy answers to that talk float through the air.
