Our Rating:
Legendary Rave punks Senser are back with the band's sixth album Sonic Dissidense, they are still righteously furious at how badly served we are by our governments and the state of the world, the current line-up is Heitham Alsayed, James Barrett, Kerstin Haigh, Nick Michaelson, John Morgan and The Deckwrecka. The album was produced by Senser and Andy Brook.

The album opens with Ryot Pump I suggest turning the speakers up real loud and letting this rip, follow Senser's instructions to get up front on the krunk and let them rap some poignant solutions for fighting the system, blasted into your brain, while you avoid all the bullet cases like you've still got your Rage Against The Machine baseball cap on backwards and you know just how high to jump.

Optimus has Senser looking for a new world vision that is far more egalitarian and objective than the current one we are fighting against, they are in hate with late-stage capitalism and the ire burns fiercely through all pain they see.

Old World has grinding guitars for Heitham's dark troubled rap, he can't believe how many Old World operators still think they should be in charge, things have changed fundamentally, we need a change to a new guard, a new way of doing things. When Kerstin Heigh's vocals come in to give a twist to the despair they feel at how hard it is to move things forwards.

Full Body Rebellion is the only option left to many of the dispossessed, how can you fight the system in these AI infested days, the guitars attack the brain while you let the message heavy vocals seep in, giving you ways and tools to fight all the oppression, hopefully without coming into contact with ICE or Putin's goons.

End Of Days is full of the doom laden 2020's, the need for a Kevlar vest to feel even slightly safe in many places, they tour the world looking at a variety of despotic hell holes created by power mad maniacs, they want time to change for the positive.

Already Dead can you control your senses in this new dystopia, do you even know what the words mean any more, what is your analogy and are you eating organic, well yes to the last one. What ever you do rip yourself away from that screen, unless you are Already Dead.

Bleak Division is something most of us have felt the effects of in recent years, with various political actors seeking to divide us to keep us downtrodden and blaming the immigrants for the crimes of billionaires, the scratching on this reminds me of Mordred, even if the guitars aren't quite that heavy, this one goes a bit proggy in places.

Air Loom has Kerstin on lead vocals wondering how we deal with all the fear and dread without being consumed by it all, how can we persuade everyone that love really is the answer, when Heitham's rap comes in full of distain for all the gun toting maniacs filled with hate and bile, can we see beyond the pain.

Black Wings insist we all fight the ideas of the ruling classes, while looking in on the local Nail salon or bet Fred, how to conquer the sound of all the lies and the hatred they brew up. Harbinger has raging thrash guitars pummelling at your brain, like all the pain inflicted on the oppressed, it's time to fight the power. They know to bring change it's going to hurt, but how much pain will we have to endure before things improve.

The album closes with Carrier Wave the wave that carries the dispossessed to new shores, they may be dead on arrival, even if they are still alive, they will be unwelcome, for no good reason other than they have been forced to flee for their lives from wars created by the monsters running the countries they flee too. Can we possibly give them a new dream of a peaceful place to live.
