Our Rating:
It's time to get your sardonic Christmas knees up going and stick on All Is Calm the new Swansea Sound Christmas 12" single and party pack! You may need to down a gallon of Rum Puncheon laced glogg first. The EP comes with a carol sheet, Swansea Sound balloons and party hat, Cracker Jokes and a Signed greetings card so a perfect stocking filler for any fans of Rob Pursey, Amelia Fletcher, Ian Button, Hue Williams and Bob Collins with extra Xmas vocals from Betty Thomas to make your Christmas treat complete.

The album opens with the urgent rush of Not My Order for one of those days when Yodel tries to deliver you someone else's order, followed by all the frustration of trying to sort it out and to make sure they get the actual present they ordered themselves.

(I Wanna Wear) A Mirrored Hat Like Slade has them wishing for those special gifts under the Christmas tree, including yule log beer and one of Gwynnies candles, but what they really want is one of Slade's mirrored hats, me personally I want Dave Hills Mirrored burka that he used to wear when coming onstage. Still Amelia is refusing to sit down and eat her Tofurkey until she has that Mirrored Hat and someone’s put on a Manfred Mann album.

Happy Christmas To Me is for all the lonely singletons who are home alone this Christmas, they claim they got everything they asked for, while bouncing around to Buzzcocks style pop punk.

The Life We Led playing games around the Christmas tree, this has a baroque pop edge, dreaming of department stores, days frolicking in the grotto with the grubby local Santa on Christmas eve, back in ye good olde days.

Santa Bail Me Out go on give a poor indie god a hand and bail them out, get them the gifts they deserve, go on you know you want another tank top and some board games to while away the day.

Dreamland is no longer a south coast decaying hulk but has been transformed into a winter wonderland, safe for the shyest of indie wallflowers to let go, downing shots of eggnog while munching down on some hash mince pies with all the family happy together.

Click it And Pay (Walking In The Air) is a good long Xmas shopping list, that you want to get online, including of course a Swansea Sound cd go on click it and pay https://hmv.com/store/music/cd/live-at-the-rum-puncheon you need at least one Swansea Sound cd in your life.

The EP closes with Merry Christmas Darlings a classic sing along song of good cheer, with sleigh bells, heaps of la la la's hoping for a good end to another year, of course the wishes in the breakdown are a bit more grown up and sane than the normal trite entreaties, this has a dark sardonic edge and sounds like it should be a huge hit.
