I Need Contact is the recent single by Vamberator who are the new project of Shelleyan Orphan legend Jem Tayle with Boris Williams also of Shelleyan Orphan and the Cure and has been re-mixed by The Woodentops legend Rolo McGinty, I'm not certain which of the musicians on the album are on the single, but they will include Charlie Jones, Max Marchini, Archimia String Quartet, Joe Northwood, Joe Bentley, Pete Johnson, Angelo Cinti, Luca Etzi, Rebecca Magri, Jo Nye, Annie Barbazza, Ola Kot, Vinita Joshi and Inky Crawley.
The A-side of this remix single, Available on a USB Stick is I Need Contact remixed by Rolo McGinty that opens slow and deliberately sounding like Japan, even sparser than the album version this has a stripped back beauty to the pleading for more contact and love in a miserable world.
The B-side is the over 10 minute long Rolo McGinty Re-mix of Creature In My House that has a Heavy dance beat, the guitar part has echoes of Robert Fripp's playing on Scary Monsters & Super Creeps, accented by the brass section, backing vocals quickly take on a singalong aspect, perfect to sing and dance along with, it breaks down into the dance beat and atmospherics, we all wait for the beat to drop back in, Jem continues to utter Creature In My House sporadically, allowing everyone to clap along to that beat as it slowly builds back up.
