Olly Chalk is an jazz pianist based in South-East London.
For his five brief compositions on this EP he is joined by Ruta Sipola (flute), Daniel Kemshell (guitars), Hugo Piper (bass), and Corrie Dick (drums).
There’s a fluid, free-flowing texture to the affirmative music which is described as “a meditation on love, warmth, the cultivation of the inner life, a richness of imagination, the remote but real possibilities of better worlds.”
Worth twenty minutes of anybody’s time I’d say.
