Review: 'Amelia Quinn'
'Softening The Edges'

-  Label: 'Warren Records'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: '1.5.26.'

Our Rating:
Softening The Edges is the debut EP by Hull based singer songwriter Amelia Quinn, who is signed to Warren Records and recorded at the Warren House with in-house producer Adam Pattrick and she was backed by Josh Craig, Bob Tinsley, Bea Harris & Adam Camps.

The ep opens with the string laden ethereal folk of Breathe, with Amelia's crystalline vocals sharing her feelings and the pains of being in love with you, chiming notes transporting you to that special place, where you treasure the love you share.

Inevitable is dreamy feelings surrounded by a soft cocoon of piano and strings, allowing Amelia's vocals to shine through, letting her feelings do the talking while trying to remain strong.

Rose Tinted has a bluesier feel with a Linda Thompson edge to the vocals, while she softens the edges of the photos she gazes at, somehow looking at you through those Rose Tinted glasses still makes her heart skip a beat, the slowly rousing gospel backing makes this sound like it will be a phenomenal live song, a real peak.
