Post-rock meets shoegaze for some tasty drum’n’guitar centred shenanigans courtesy of multi-instrumentalist Brian Willey. He wrote, performed, and recorded all seven tunes.
The Austin-based project was founded in 2009 and this album was written between 2021 and 2025. The four year period included two spent in the Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Arizona during the Covid pandemic.
For what is essentially a one man band, the sound is impressively expansive . While synths and guitar are prominent, the songs are propelled by driving percussion to give epic proportions to the humble sources.
