Pretty Things Don't Last is the latest Ep by Italian Industrial rockers Noir Addiction who are Sonny Lanegan, Nessie Zorba and Roberto Catanzaro.
The album opens with Serve Me Some Crime that has pounding electronic beats and gothic noir vocals begging to see more crime procedurals, getting involved in the darkest of deeds wherever possible, a little tongue in cheek, but they will lose their minds if they can't binge on more episodes of Gomorrah, while pondering on the ethics of another murderous spree.
How She's Got it is the thing that has consumed them, over dark clubby industrial rock with Chris Cornell style vocals, a deep need to find out just How She's Got It before they can think or do anything else. Toxic Twins is slower more deliberate look at the betrayal and lies you tell, all the toxic things you do, those crushing industrial guitars getting heavier and nastier like the Toxic Twins behaviour.
Cold Habit has left them twitching and shivering needing one more shot of that stuff, trying not to die too young and leave a pretty corpse behind, the beats crush out another line to keep reality at bay, while they try get back to a life doing good, unlikely to happen when they are addicted to noir lifestyles.
Money For The Honey is a truly awful phrase that they turn into a Marilyn Manson style industrial floor filler, while throwing out the lines that will convince you he's a killer and deserving of your undying devotion. The EP closes with Radio Funeral that amongst the drilling sounds and nasty noises explains all the evil that has led them to this dark place, do you still feel alive, or have you lost the fight.
