Review: 'Vlimmer'
'Atemdauer/Caring Is Creepy'

-  Label: 'Black Jack Illuminist Records'
-  Genre: 'Industrial' -  Release Date: '10.7.26.'

Our Rating:
Atemdauer is the latest single from super productive Berlin electronica act Vlimmer, that has been Alexandra Leonard Donat's main band since 2015.

The a-side Atemdauer has an 80's synthpop keyboards but with darker percussion and Alex's slow vocals making this have a rather odd A-ha meets Depeche Mode feel to it, with the deep basslines shining through the breakdown to add a twist or three to this tune.

The B-side is a German language cover of The Shins song Caring Is Creepy that opens with whistling and minimalist keyboards, while the dank message that Caring Is Creepy is slowly explained, personally I would rather we were all a lot more caring currently, it has a quite analogue synth sound, not dissimilar in places to Anomy musically.
