Review: 'JAMERSON, NICHOLAS'
'Rabbit Holes Vol 1 (EP)'

-  Label: 'Cloverdale Records'
-  Genre: 'Folk' -  Release Date: '11th September 2026'

Our Rating:
Rabbit holes are traditionally places to dive into without knowing where they might lead. Nicholas Jamerson leaps in with the belief that God is on his side and confident that he will emerge in a state of grace. “Music has been my altar”, he says and his faith is manifest in How Great Thou Art.

Jamerson was born into a musical family in eastern Kentucky. His folk songs are simple and direct. He plays guitar, banjo and mandolin.

There’s a distinctly old timey feel to tunes and titles like Blow’d In The Creek and Hollerin’ And Wallerin’.

On a more contemporary theme, Goodbye Brother is a tribute to a friend who lost a battle with addiction.

With just seven songs and a playing time of twenty minutes the encounter is too brief to make any definitive judgements but since this is listed as the first volume, one presumes more material is in the pipeline.
