The Best Is Yet To Come is the debut EP from the latest band to be called The Stance, this one is part of the Warren House music project and Warren Records stable of artists in Hull and co-produced the EP with the centre's in house guru Adam Pattrick. The Stance are Jaz Hancox, Calum Garnett, Tommy Drury and Zack Waite.
The Ep opens with One Step Forward that is a yearning and hopeful Cardigans style indie-pop anthem, for someone who wants to run and hide from everything happening around them, while hoping to find love and affection in the rubble of life in a chaotic household, with the guitars and drums building towards a great sing along, punch the air chorus and a feeling that they may triumph over adversity soon.
She's Not The One (They Were Right) you really should have listened, she's not the one for you, no matter how many times she cries they were right, nothing is going to change, other than rooms full of people should be signing this back at them soon enough, no matter how drunk they get, this is a great catchy indie pop banger.
The Best Is Yet To Come is a soaring indie anthem for taking some advice, making clear that you can do better if you listen to more experienced friends, they will help you find hope in hopeless situations and find a way to become a far better person and have a great fulfilled life, this is upbeat and again ready for a good audience sing along to it with Jaz, as The Stance find the empowerment they are desperately seeking.
