Review: 'BROMLEY, THOMAS'
'STANDING STRONG / BYE THE WAY'

-  Label: '4 REAK RECORDS'
-  Genre: 'Pop' -  Release Date: '28TH JUNE 2005'

Our Rating:
THOMAS BROMLEY hails from Kent, grew up listening to Al Green and Marvin Gaye but decided music was his career when he saw Queen live at Wembley.

THOMAS'S music is safe and predictable. He was inspired to write the ballad ‘Standing Strong’ after hearing the testimonies of families who survived the Tsunami disaster. It’s maudlin and mawkish and desperate to tug at your heartstrings although his voice is not bad in a nondescript way. ‘Bye The Way’ is perkier in a light country rock kind of way but still leaves me blank.

After numerous tests conducted under laboratory conditions – including the use of three test tubes, a bell jar and a Bunsen burner -I have deduced that it is a scientific impossibility for me to be moved by THOMAS’S music.
