Not to be confused with the long running series of soft-core porn films EMANUEL are yet another – yes, yet another one! – US import of punk metal or one of its multiple sub-genres. Is it Screamo?
The single ‘Soundtrack To A Headrush’ – presumably a reference to standing up too quickly – is taken from the album of the same name. The one interesting aspect of Soundtrack To A Headrush’ is the fact that never has so much screaming vocals, crunching power chords and all-out noise sounded so incredibly dull and uninteresting. All the wasted energy that EMANUEL summon up for this vapid piece of over-produced hardcore would have been better served providing electricity for a small hamlet or perhaps a moorland farm than for a CD that has not one single unique musical feature of merit.
Available as a download only single. Not that you’d want to.
